On May 10, 2023, Governor DeSantis signed Florida Bill 1718 into law which requires all private employers in Florida with at least 25 employees to use the E-Verify system. This is in addition to completing a Form I-9 when hiring a new employee.
This requirement will begin with all employees hired on or after July 1, 2023. Failing to run all new hires through this system will result in significant daily penalties. Click on the E-Verify image below to find out about the program and how to enroll your business.
